Garchen Great Smoke Offerings

In the early hours of the morning a special sang offering was performed.

Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche presided over the puja based on the text called Garsang Chenmo by the 3rd Karmapa Rangjung Dorje.

The event was held in the private library of His Holiness, in the back of the Monlam Pavilion.

This sang offering puja was performed by 50 monks from Sherabling.

At the elaborate altar, a sharply focused chöpon managed the delicate procedures.

Offerings of rice were given to the guardians.

The burning of the sang was done outside while the puja continued in the library.

His Eminence Goshir Gyaltsap Rinpoche dropped by for a friendly visit.

His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa also came around to offer support with his presence.
